Benaiah
One day as Stowe was reading in II Samuel 23 (verses 20-23 to be exact) he came across the particular name of one of David's mighty men, Benaiah. This was a unique man who was described as being a man of valor and strength. What caught Stowe's eye was the description of a battle that Benaiah had once fought against a large Egyptian warrior. The text stated that Benaiah had taken a large spear out of the Egyptian's hand and killed him with it. It was out of this story that the name for this ministry was born for just as Benaiah defeated his enemy with his own weapon, so too are we looking to defeat these networks with their own material.
We know it may sound a little violent, but the concept of the story is what stood out to us and why we named our ministry after this great man. Also, it's not too bad when you can kill a lion in a deep pit on a snowy day (read the verses and this will make sense).
